What the title of this blog page means to me, the author, the blogger. As I started out on this blogging journey, there was no question as to what I would blog about, it had to be about things I love.
Hence the title; Food. Dish. Embellish.
Food - I love food.! That's not to say I purport to be the best cook around, simply that I love food. I love the look, smell, taste, packaging....I'm a foodie, there I said it.
Definition of food: Material, Usually of plant or animal origin, that contains or consists of essential body nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals, and is ingested and assimilated by an organism to produce energy, stimulate growth, and maintain life.
Dish - I love to dish! And I am not talking about dishing up the family dinner, although it includes that too. We will talk about the latest in dish in the news, or the dish going on in our lives.
Definition of dish: to serve food. Informal/idle talk; gossip, advice.
Embellish - I love to embellish! Who doesn't want to make something more beautiful? I add garnish to plated food, I decorate for holidays, I add details to a story; all in hopes someone will find it fascinating or funny. Everyday in life, we should embellish something.
Definition of embellish: To make beautiful. To add ornamental or fictitious details to.
You may find other definitions for these three words, depending upon where you look them up...and then there is our own definition that we carry in our minds...which can change depending upon the day, the people in our lives, our sense of humor, and the song in our hearts. My hope is that we can share a dish of food, or two, along the way and add some garnish to our lives.
