Ch-ch-ch-chili

Food - Are you ready for some football? And Chili? Here is a great recipe for chili.

Kick-off Chili
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onion
1/2 c. green pepper
1 - (28 oz.) whole tomatoes, undrained
1 - (15 oz.) tomato sauce
2 - (15 oz.) red kidney beans, undrained
1 packet chili seasoning mix
* Top with sour cream, green onions and cheddar cheese.

In a 4 qt. saucepan or dutch oven (with lid), brown ground beef with onions, green peppers and drain. Add remaining ingredients, except for beans and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add beans and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.

I let my chili simmer for a longer period of time to enhance the flavor, but not needed.

Dish - Michele Bachmann being interviewed by Chris Matthews is wishing she wouldn't have said this: "Remember it was Michele Obama who said she is only recently proud of her country and so these are very anti-American views," she said. "That's not the way that most Americans feel about our country. Most Americans are wild about America and they are very concerned to have a president who doesn't share those values."

Those are some pretty harsh, unfair words to say. I say: can't we all just get along?

Barrack Obama's grandmother is ailing, our thoughts are with their family.

Here's something to make us laugh?

Embellish - I refuse to tip toe cautiously thru life only to arrive safely at deaths door.
