Food - My favorite holiday is 1 day away and I am so excited - I am like a kid in a candy store! I love to see all of the creative costumes people come up with for their children, or themselves. I was never too creative in the costume department, I was not a sewer, like the "other" moms. I guess I missed that gene pool. Unless, it came in a package and was sold at a store, my kids didn't wear it. But they always looked adorable, no matter what. I think if I were raising my kids now, it would be different I have become more creative in my "elder years." Okay, back to reality, I still don't sew.

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat. Okay, I promise, you don't have to smell my feet, just give me something good to eat! I stopped trick or treating along, yes, I said along, time ago. But I still have the great memories I can chew on. The brown house gave full size candy bars, the green house gave pennies, the pink house gave Kit-Kat bars, the blue house gave those awful peanut butter wrapped candies that no one wanted, they knew they could just leave a tray of them out for people to take, cuz nobody did.

We remember Halloween not only by the costumes we wore, but by the weather (we live in Minnesota after all.) The year it rained, the year it snowed, the year you could go out and not wear a jacket over the costume that your mother worked so hard to create.

But most of all, it is the innocence and magic of this holiday that I love the most. The innocent look on each child's face as they come to your door and say "Trick or Treat." Oh, and the magic, that for just one night we are all believers in Witches, Ghosts and Goblins.

"Create" the magic this Halloween and give them something good to eat!

Dish - This is for all the adults who want to see someone scream on Halloween!
