Does this make "Scents" to you?

Food - Ooooh that smell, can't you smell that smell? For the "scent" of it all.....we researched what affect color has on food, now we will research the affect that the "smell or scent" has on our food choices.

We invite you to follow your nose, where ever it goes (well, maybe not) and help us explore whether or not if all this sniffing around, makes good 'scents' to you. People's noses in the work place have had many strong reactions to co-workers indulgences in popcorn and tuna, but I know of few have ever complained about the smell of warmed chocolate chip cookies.

A cats appetite is stimulated primarily by the sense of smell. Any food with a strong aroma trigger the appetite. And warm food smells more than cold. So let's get it heated in here -Meow!

But if smell alone were to dictate our food choices, how could we possibly explain the overweight person who has no sense of smell? And does "The Aroma Patch" hold any clues as to the strong impact that the smell of food has on us? Some. "In scientific research, people preferred sweet smells, and strongly sweet scents such as chocolate often triggered feelings of hunger and led to over eating or binge eating, while “neutral” sweet smells (including banana, green apple, vanilla, and peppermint) actually curbed appetite."

Here are some of my whiff preferment's:
Tuna - ewe!
Popcorn - poppin!
Sauerkraut - p-ewe!
Lutefish - ish!
Freshly baked cookies or cake- Yum-mo!
Hot dogs - come'on dawg, that stinks!
Pizza - yeah baby!
Turkey - carve it!
Steamed Cauliflower/Broccoli - healthy!
BBQ sauce - saucy!
Baked potato - that's hot!
Fried Food - grease never smelled so good!
Bread - I'm loaving it!
Chocolate - I think I died and went to Heaven!
Hard boiled eggs - stinky!

But really, I think, it is a combination of: smell, color, taste, and texture that really gets ones appetite starving for another bite.
